Meet Me

Welcome welcome!! I'm so tickled you decided to spend some of your precious time on my blog! I hope you enjoy and have a little fun while you're here. My blog is a little random but that's just how I am. I like a lot of different things and this is my way of (attempting) to keep it all organized. And honestly, I learn better by writing and having visuals so this blog is helping me learn just a little of what this great big world has to offer.

If you don't know much about me here are some little tidbits...

  • I love Jesus with all my heart but still have so much to learn.
  • My husband is my best friend, my spiritual leader, my love. I am so blessed to be married to him.
  • I love foraging for food in the wild.
  • Floral Design is my trade of choice. Love. It.
  • I do not have a college degree. Took me awhile to be okay with that. I still get a lot of grief from others. But ya know what? I just wanna be my husband's helper and my unborn children's mother. And I think God is okay with that, and that's the only One I need to please.
  • I tend to use WAY too many commas...so I'll try to reign it in. :)
  • I don't really like donuts.
  • And I don't enjoy waterslides because I feel like I'm drowning.
  • But I DO love:
    • Montana
    • Ice Cream
    • Ballroom dancing with my husband
    • Crazy family game nights
    • Yoga
    • Inner tubing on a river
    • A good Chai tea
    • Morning devotions with a cup of coffee (should do this more...)
    • Walking through a forest and smelling the trees
    • The life I still get to live...

My goals for this blog:
  1. A place for me to jot down my ideas and experiments whether they flop or fly.
  2. A place to keep health ideas in check (so I don't forget why I'm doing something...)
  3. A place for you to add to my randomness...or what healthy things you're doing that might benefit other people.
  4. Hopefully a place for us to learn and grow together.

So here it goes! I plan to write this thing as if I'm talking to myself or a close friend who doesn't think I'm weird. Well, wait. I guess that is who I'm writing to. I just love writing freely. And I love you for reading my humble little postings!

  1. Bethany,
Hi! I read that you have your aromatherapy certificate. I would like to pursue getting mine this year (after one more brain surgery, which I hope will be the last I need.) Would you mind sharing where you got your certificate? There are so many options, and quite a difference in pricing. I would like to get my certification online, as it is easier for me since I'm in a lot of pain. Thank you ahead of time!

    Be well,
    Tracy

  2. Hey Tracy! Thanks so much for reading, I'm tickled you found me! Wow, I will be praying that your brain surgery is successful! Yes, I do have a certificate in Aromatherapy which I did through http://www.snh.cc/Our_Courses.html (The School of Natural Healing). I learned a lot and it gave me a good starting place, however if I were to do it again I would have taken a closer look at http://www.aromahead.com/courses/online (Aromahead Institute). They do have a free introductory course on essential oils if that interests you. Let me know if you have any other questions. Essential oils are super fascinating! Thanks again for stopping by and I will be praying for a quick and full recovery from your surgery!
